August through November are some of the best months to fish for salmon in the Pacific Northwest! I offer classic drift boat trips on some of the most productive rivers around. I use the latest techniques and gear to put fish in the boat. Floating a river in the drift boat offers a great fishing experience, no loud sleds and fewer people to compete with. It's a true fishing experience!
One of my favorite techniques is drifting eggs under a float on light gear. This technique is good for the beginners as well as the seasoned pro. Pulling bait divers is a great way to fill the fish box and it keeps the bait in the strike zone with little work from the angler. You just set the rod in the holder until the tip is buried and the line is smoking off the reel!
In October we hit the Satsop river for big fall silvers and use a bass fishing technique, casting plugs into the pockets of slow water. This is the best strike you will ever see! With the right conditions this can make for a great day on the river.
